Chi Straightener vs. Solia Flat Iron

Having the best straightener for your hair is essential in getting good results. The thing that makes it hard about getting the best flat irons is that there are tons of them available on the market. Some straighteners may even be good for the first few times that you use them, and then turn out to be complete junk. When it comes down to the best selling ones and the best in customers’ eyes, the Chi brand and Solia brand are usually the top two.

Chi Straightener Pros

The main pro of the Chi flat iron is that it does get the hair really straight. It could be looked at as a con too because some people don’t want their hair to get entirely too straight. Most people who have naturally coarse hair use this straightener and noted that it does the perfect job. They are highly popular amongst the hair straightening industry, but they are a tad bit more expensive than other straighteners too. If price really isn’t a factor to you, then you may be satisfied with it, though you’d have to be extra careful and a warranty may be needed.

Chi Straightener Cons

The Chi straightener may have some good aspects to it, but one problem that most people have is that it usually doesn’t last longer than a year. Most people have reported that the wiring gets shortened very quickly and it can certainly lose its power that it would have when first opened from the box. The Chi’s don’t have that much diversity compared to other flat irons, and most of these straighteners only have one setting.

Solia Flat Iron Pros

Unlike the Chi irons, the Solia irons actually can last for years depending upon how you take care of it. There are even more choices for you to choose from depending on color, ions, heat settings, etc. There’s even a Solia flat iron that has both ceramic and tourmaline ions. You can mostly guarantee your hair would be straight and not frizzy with that flat iron alone. They’re even cheaper than the Chi’s and you’d get a great product for a less amount. It’s even said that the Solia straightens better than the Chi and that they are commonly used in beauty salons.

Solia Flat Iron Cons

There are actually less cons to the Solia flat iron than the Chi. There is a sort of learning curve with the Solia, as that without proper use of it, it’ll snag your ends. These irons can also get really hot and some of them only have one setting. Besides those factors, there really aren’t that many cons to the Solia compared to the Chi. If it came down to it, most people are recommended in getting the Solia than the Chi because of how they’re overall valuable.

Flat Iron Results

When it comes down to it, between the two straighteners, the Solia is actually the best one. It’s cheaper, more dependable, and even straightens better.
